Ability to manage which roles can manage a data and content profile. This setting grants the user the ability to change the verified use case, classification, owner, steward etc.

K has default role permissions for the 5 key role types. Depending on your organisation’s data governance approach (e.g. centalised vs decentralised), you may want to change who has the ability to update:

  • Data Profiles

  • Lineage

  • Terms

  • Collections

Manage Role Permissions

  • Select Platform Settings in the side bar and click on Platform Settings

  • Scroll down to locate

  • In the pop-out side panel, under User Management Administration click on Users

  • Roles

  • Click on (blue star) Edit to open the edit pop-up

    • When adding multiple roles, make sure you separate each role with a comma and no spaces (e.g. kada_user,kada_business_user)

    Make the changes to the roles and click SaveRoles to update which users can edit data profiles, lineage, terms and collections.

  • Click on Save to confirm your changes
