Objective of this article:

You can use bulk edit feature to update a group of items in K. This can make managing your data ecosystem simple.

Bulk edit is currently limited to 100 items

Instructions

Selecting a group of items to bulk edit

There are several ways to select a group of objects. You can select from a list (e.g. all columns in a table) or by using search. In this example we will show you how to do both

  1. Selecting all columns in a table

Go to a Table profile page and select the column tab

Select the further actions icon above the list. You can now go to search or select bulk edit (what we will do in later on)

  2. Selecting a group of columns from search

Search for column(s) you want to bulk update. This might be an ID column that exists in many tables

The bulk edit button is available at the top right

Bulk Edit

After clicking on the bulk edit button, you will open the bulk edit application.

  1. Review the list of items you will edit. You can select all but clicking the top check box. After selecting all your items, click NEXT

  2. Select the operation you want to perform and fill in the details. Click NEXT

Edit properties: Change the description, verified use cases, classification, channel, owner and steward

Link collection: Link to a collection that is available

  3. Review your proposed changes. Once you are happy with the proposed changes. Click CONFIRM

  4. The bulk edit process will commence and advise you when it is completed

  5. Click Close to see your changes.
