The Insights page is a powerful tool that is available to Data Managers and Data Governance to support the proper management and governance of the Data Ecosystem
See overall metrics for your data ecosystem include Data effectiveness score
View a map of your data ecosystem is connected including which sources have data from a specific domain, or belong to a specific classification.
And track your governance metrics to see how much of your currently used data has been classified, have ownership assigned, and have completed lineage
Insights are only accessible to Data Managers and Data Governance Users
Overview of the Insights Dashboard
For Data Manager and Data Governance Manager, the first icon on the side bar is the Insights Page.
You will land on this page automatically when you log in.
The insights page is divided into 6 tabs:
Ecosystem: Explore usage at at data, content or user lens
Usage: Drill down on usage information for a specific source or tool
Map: A visual representation around how your ecosystem is connected
This feature is currently in Beta (as at March 2022)
Governance: Drill down on governance information for a specific source
Issue: View all issues raised on data and content
Platform: View the current state of metadata loads from your connected sources
Tips on how to make the most of Insights

Usage | Your are planning a migration activity | Selecting the data source, you can explore how heavily it is used and which are the key teams you need to engage |
Map | You want to view how all the data and analytical content sources are connected | Use the Map to view the different sources; what assets they contain; what domains and classifications they belong and drill down for further details Useful for showing Architects, Solution Designers and other users how the systems are connected. |
Governance | You want to track the overall progress against Data Governance KPI’s | Use the Governance Tab to track classifications, ownership and lineage quality across data assets that are being used. Identify gaps to address across your data assets that matter (used) vs. data assets that do not matter (unused) |
Issue | You want to identify the current state of data quality issues crowd sourced by your Data workforce | The Issue Tab provides a overview of all the current issues raised in K. Download a report to see all issues and their current status. |
