Welcome to K. Getting started with K is covered in the following topics:

 

  • Settings allows you to configure your profile on K including your team and the ID’s you may use across the data ecosystem

  • News feed give you regular updates on all the latest additions, changes and relevant news on the data and analytical content you use.

  • My Ecosystem allows you to quickly find data, content, queries and everything else you have used, created or run in the data ecosystem

  • Search enables you to search the data ecosystem to find data, reports, files, people and teams

  • Profiles every item in the data ecosystem has a profile page. The profile page contains useful context like descriptions, labels, tags, lineage, issues, etc that can help you understand if the item is right for your use case.

  • Inventory allows you to explore the data ecosystem in a hierarchical manner. A different view of the inventory (Catalog) provides a business centric view of the data ecosystem

  • Apps are metadata applications built to solve specific use cases like Impact Assessment

  • Insights are dashboards that provide Data Owners, Governance and Managers insights and recommendations into the data ecosystem
