Applicable to Administrators

Objective of this article:

K can integrate with other sources that you may use for issue management so that issues created in K can be managed in your central issue management tool.

In this article, we will show you how to integrate with Jira for issue management

Currently issues created in JIRA are not synchronised back to K. This is coming in the next release

1. Click on Platform settings and select Integration

2. Click on Issue management

New integration options are coming for other components like knowledge articles, questions, change mangement.

3. Click on NEW INTEGRATION to create a new integration

4. Fill out the form to create the new integration

Select an integration type

New integration types are constantly being added. If you do not see your tool here, reach out and let us know. We can turn these around quick!

Give your integration a name. Users will see this name when they create an issue

Add your Jira details (Watch out! this step may be a bit complicated)

If you are using a custom field in Jira make sure to use the custom field ID and not the name. The input in the integration form will be “customfield_[ID]”

5. Click create to create the integration. You can test the integration by clicking on the button

6. After creating the integration, users are now taken through a process of creating their issues in JIRA.
