The Profile page is the source of knowledge for your data item (or content, code, etc).

Profiles include a combination of automated and manually curated context that helps you understand how, where and when to use the item.

The Data Profile page allows you to:

  • See insights about how the data is used and how trusted the data is

  • Understand the lineage of the data and it’s connections/joins with other items

  • Assign owners, stewards, classification

  • Link collections and tags

  • Capture governance attributes like access, domains and verified use cases

  • Ask questions and capture knowledge like business logic and decisions about the data

  • Capture changes (automated and manual) about the data

  • Launch applications like impact assessments and lineage explorer

  • Navigate to linked collaboration channels that discuss the data item

  • Find code used with data, or sheets the belong to reports to reuse.
