Through Bulk Action you can:
Update properties for multiple data assets
Easily link multiple data assets to a list
Easily link multiple data assets to a warning notice
Bulk Action is only available to the following roles: Data Governance, Data Managers, K Admin users
Accessing Bulk Actions
You can access the bulk actions functions in three ways.
Option 1) Via Data Profile Page
When you access bulk action via the data profile, bulk action will be applied to the data asset and all child assets (e.g. if a table is selected, the table and all columns within the table will be updated)
Option 2) Via Filters Page
When you access bulk action via a filter, bulk action will be applied to the data asset that are included in the search filter
Option 3) Via Search
When you access bulk action via search, bulk action will be applied to the data asset that have been selected
How to bulk update properties
Step 1) Click on Bulk update properties
Step 2) Confirm the Properties that you want to update
Step 3) For each property select what update you would like me make. You can choose from the following options:
Add to existing - This option is only available for properties that allow multiple entires
Replace
Clear
Step 4) Specify updates you would like to make
Step 5) Click on Next
Step 6) Review the changes and data assets that will be updated. After you are comfortable with the updates, click Confirm
Step 7) Your Bulk Update job has been actioned and you will be notified via email when the results are ready.
How to bulk link to lists
Step 1) Click on Link to list
Step 2) Search for the list you want to link the data assets to
Step 3) Click Add to select the lists
Step 4) Click Next
Step 5) Review the changes and data assets that will be updated. After you are comfortable with the updates, click Confirm
Step 6) Your Bulk Update job has been actioned and you will be notified via email when the results are ready.
Viewing previous Bulk Action jobs
You can view all previous Bulk Action jobs by navigating to My Application Results → Jobs → Bulk Update
