How to deactivate a source
This page will explain how to deactivate a source in K
There are 3 classes of sources:
Identity Stores - These are sources such as Active Directory or LDAP to load User and Group information into K.
Databases - These are sources such as Oracle, Teradata, Snowflake to load metadata and logs from the database source.
Tools - There are sources like Tableau, Alteryx, Informatica to load metadata and logs from the tool.
Known limitations
You can only deactivate Databases and Tools currently.
Deactivated sources cannot be reactivated. This will be addressed in an upcoming release
This function is restricted to K Administrators
Deactivate a source
Select Platform Settings in the side bar
In the pop-out side panel, under Integrations click on Sources
Click Edit Source on the source you want to deactivate
Click Deactivate in the top right corner.
Confirm the deactivation by clicking on Deactivate.
Deactivating a source may take some time as the process deactivates all of the source’s items (reports, tables etc).
Deactivated items can be still be found in Search by using the Active = No filter
