How to identify masked data

How to identify masked data

Currently only Snowflake Masking Policies are integrated.

If you are using the Snowflake collector to extract metadata, ensure that you have installed collector version 3.1.0 or above.

If you would like other Masking Policies to be detected by K, reach out and share your feedback.

Sometimes you may have Data Masking Policies applied to your tables.

Where K has detected a masked data column, it will automatically apply a Masked label.

Masking will also be visible in the profile side bar under Labels

You can also find columns and tables that are masked by using the “Masked” Filter. You can combine this filter with the PII filters to find columns that have PII data that are / not masked.
