Overview of Key Pages in K

Home Page

The home page is a personal view of your data ecosystem that will help you discover, understand and manage your organisations data and analytical products. It also contains a tailored Feed that keeps you informed of all changes about your data ecosystem that are relevant to you.

Data Profile Page

The Data Profile page is the source of knowledge for your data (or content, query, and tool). They are a combination of automated and manually curated context that produces rich, always up to date profiles for your data

Through the Data Profile page, you can access a number of key useful tabs including:

• Details Tab : A quick overview of the Data Asset including list of terms, properties, code and access

• Usage Tab : View who has been using the data asset and how the data asset has been used over time

• Knowledge Tab : View all previous decisions, questions and other knowledge references that have been added to the data asset

• Changes Tab : View a timeline of all changes that have been detected. This includes changes in data and content items.

• Issues Tab: List of all data issues that have been tagged to this data asset

• Data Quality: Summary of the available Data Quality statistics for this data asset

Dashboards and Insights

K has a number of helpful Dashboards and Insight pages to support Data Managers and Data Governance Manages to manage and govern the Data Ecosystem.

Note: If your K access level is a Business User or Data Worker then you will not see this section in K

Data Ecosystem

Your Data Ecosystem allows you to navigate and explore through your organisation’s complete data ecosystem.

In this section there is also a tailored My Ecosystem section that lets you quickly understand how you interact with the data ecosystem and K Platform.

Search Pages

K has a google like Search function that can be quickly accessed via the navigation pane.

Frequently used search settings with tailored filter results can be saved and accessed via the Filters Page. You can also set search filters to automatically run a defined schedule and send the results to any specific email or recipient.

Data Applications

This page lets you access a number of helpful K applications that support you in solving common use cases.

• Ask K : A self-service feature to answer questions about your data ecosystem.

• Code Search : Search a source object’s code that match a specific search criteria.

• Dependency Assessment : Automatically conduct dependency assessments for your critical data and BI assets.

• Impact Assessment and Impact Notifications : Automatically conduct impact assessments and notify impacted users

• Import Bulk Edit Files: This page let’s you upload K Excel Upload Templates to perform bulk changes. You can also visit the Bulk Action page to explore other ways you can perform bulk change tasks in K.

Knowledge Centre

Knowledge Centre is the feedback loop for your data ecosystem. K creates targeted surveys to each user that is best able to answer the questions. Using the collective knowledge of your team to build data trust and accelerate data maturity.
